Hampton Renovation

Heritage reimagined.

A bold transformation of a 1930s Bayside home

A bold transformation of a 1930's Bayside home, seamlessly blending heritage charm with contemporary design.

Originally designed in the 1930s by renowned architects Marcus Barlow and H.V. & A.C. Kerr, this Bayside residence was steeped in heritage yet calling for reinvention. Our brief was clear: honour the past while shaping a home for the present.

We transformed a formerly compartmentalised layout into a luminous, open-plan sanctuary — reorienting the kitchen and living areas around bold glazing, tactile finishes, and an elegant new central hallway. A custom terrazzo threshold bridges indoors and out, leading to a covered alfresco zone and pool beyond.

This renovation fuses deco heritage with contemporary expression — featuring statement lighting, hand-detailed joinery, and textural materiality, all nestled within a lush urban retreat.

Every element was considered with sensitivity and precision — from the striking wallpapered feature wall to the aluminium-framed glazing and soft brass accents.

This is heritage, reimagined.
